What is Junior Roller Derby
Our coaches here at First Coast Junior Rollers brings a high level of expertise, passion, and dedication to athlete development. With decades of combined experience in roller derby, coaching, and competitive athletics, our coaches provide skilled instruction in skating technique, gameplay strategy, safety, and sportsmanship. Their depth of knowledge helps build confident, capable skaters while fostering a positive environment where every athlete can grow both on and off the track.

What is Junior Roller Derby
First Coast Junior Rollers participates in junior flat track roller derby, a fast-paced, full-contact team sport played on roller skates on a flat skating surface rather than a banked track. The sport combines speed, strategy, agility, and teamwork, with players working together to score points and play defense in timed jams. Junior roller derby adapts the rules and levels of contact based on age (7-17) and skill to prioritize safety, skill development, and sportsmanship while giving young athletes the opportunity to compete, build confidence, and develop leadership skills.
